Hungry For Love & Hard Boiled Eggs: Eleven Obscure Yet Hilarious Videos

“Can you just turn the thermostat down, please?!”

Silent Circle, “Love Is Just A Word”
It doesn’t get any better than this German new wave band featuring the single greatest hawk-man haircut of all time in combination with the most over-the-top serious facial expressions. Look out for the patented Elvis lip curl being horribly misused. I hate to admit that this song is kind of growing on me.

“Excuse me, did you just call me RUSSELL MAEL?”

Modern Talking, “You’re My Heart, You’re My Soul”
Why do the Germans seem to have created the best (worst) new wave bands of the eighties? Here we have a duo; one who looks like a sexy Yanni, and the other, a man who is the human Barbie/Ken.

eleven videos 3
“That Chris Hansen guy isn’t lurking about, is he?”

Heaven 17, “Come Live With Me”
Here’s a little gem about a highly inappropriate relationship. The lead singer really owns the all-white, pleated khaki look. I think he pulls it off. Why are the British always eating those hard-boiled eggs? Be careful, you may find yourself humming this one a few weeks from now.

Hahaha, the whole time I was watching it, I was thinking, “What is Emily going to say?”

I also have to ask: what is the deal with the dachshunds in the Hasselhoff video? Is it because they are German dogs? It’s hysterical!!

Finally, I must also note the kissy faces, raised eyebrows, and fist pumps of the blond guy in the Silent Circle video. He is SO into it!

That Russian boyband video is from a srsfax actual band that were apparently quite famous back in the day. I’ve got their reunion video from the late 90s somewhere.
