Dublin, the capital city of Ireland, is quite a charming place, but it can be expensive. However, if you play your cards right (and do some thorough research), it doesn’t have to be.

Actually, getting to Dublin these days is quite inexpensive compared to how it was a few years ago. I know that my roundtrip airfare and hotel (with travel insurance: ALWAYS buy this as it’s one thing you never want to scrimp on), cost me about $750 for a five day trip. I paid for it in advance, so by the time I was ready to travel, I had already paid off that charge on my credit card. I also didn’t stay in a hostel, either; I actually found a nice hotel in the center of Dublin.
