3. The Breakfast Club dance scene, since they seem to be actually having a good time.

The Breakfast Club featured five types (some would say stereotypes) of teens one could relate to: the jock, the misfit, the princess, the nerd, and the criminal. It took place in Saturday detention, where the five characters (played by Emilio Estevez, Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald, Anthony Michael Hall, and Judd Nelson) initially don’t get along, but by the end of the day, they all seem to find some common ground.

4. Duckie pouring his heart out to Andie, telling her why he can’t like her anymore.

Pretty in Pink featured Molly Ringwald (again) as a lower-middle-class girl who falls for a guy from an upper-middle-class world. Torn between Blaine (played by Andrew McCarthy) and her friend Duckie (Jon Cryer, the one she should have ended up with, in my opinion), she eventually chooses Blaine in the end. I envied Molly Ringwald’s Andie for the fact that she worked at what looked like a pretty cool record store as well as for her own unique sense of style. (Her prom dress, however? Barf.)
