Nearly everyone has a personal anecdote about The Monkees, but in their 50th year, a commemorative album destined to be a throw-away discount bin item is sure to create an entirely different set of memories. Good Times!, the first record from the band in 20 years, is a collection of new and unreleased (but recently finished) songs that few people asked for, but many will enjoy.

Sloan’s The Double Cross: Five Years Later

Legendary Canadian group Sloan are currently celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark album One Chord to Another with a deluxe edition rerelease on vinyl and 30-plus date tour. The vinyl also includes Recorded Live at a Sloan Party, meaning it’s the first time fellow Canucks can pick up that album without importing it.

Yes, it’s a pretty sweet time to be a fan of the band.

Beloved video game series Ratchet and Clank has made its way to the big screen, and much to fans’ delight, embodies the unique attributes that turned the franchise into something of substance in the first place. While the CGI film is bumpy at times, it never feels like a forced project developed strictly for monetary reasons, and celebrates the classic story that many have grown up with.

In the latest installment, it is no different as Julian’s plan to save the park fails, the celebrity guest stars head out of town, and Lahey falls so far off the wagon that he shoots Ricky, essentially killing him.

After watching “If You Don’t Believe It, It’s Not Real,” it becomes apparent that Season 10 is a slow burn, hopefully one with a large payoff.

The fifth episode has the boys heading out on another job (for those who are counting, this is job number five). The danger attached to each attempt at fast cash is growing exponentially, and the latest hits a new peak.
