1. “Last Christmas,” Wham!

Yes, it’s full of ’80s cheesiness, but that’s what makes it so great. You can just picture George Michael and Andrew Ridgely performing this song in sweaters that would make even Bill Cosby blush.

2. Eric Idle, “Fuck Christmas”

This is a newer one, and I just love the attitude Idle gives in this song. It’s an attitude I hold sometimes, and I especially held it those years I worked in retail.

3. “Father Christmas,” The Kinks

Same attitude as the previous song, basically, but a bit older. Great for a Scrooge-ish holiday mix.

4. “The Charlie Brown Theme,” a.k.a. “Linus And Lucy,” by Vince Guaraldi

Not exclusively for the holidays, but it makes me think of that time of year.

5. “Christmas Wrapping,” The Waitresses

Again, another ’80s pop holiday staple that I love. Great hooks and all!
